As spotted by DSO Gaming, a modder who goes by the alias asmartcowmods has just released a custom add-on for Elden Ring that allows players to take on the role of Halo’s Master Chief. As well as providing the player with Chief’s armor, it also comes with the Gunnery mod and the Battle Rifle replacement for the M16, which means that this is more than just a model swap. In general, it affords fans the opportunity to jump into the shoes of someone other than The Tarnished....

Most notably, Patch 1.03 nerfed Mimic Tear Ashes and several other strategies that allowed players to kill bosses in just a few hits. It also made some unintentional nerfs to the Starscourge Radahn boss fight, which were later reversed in another update. Patch 1.03 came out on March 17, just over a month ago, and Bandai Namco now reveals the patch notes for the next major update for Elden Ring....

Players are in the middle of finding every key item, talisman, and other artifact that Elden Ring has to offer. Some armaments or items may even encourage players to reallocate their attributes and alter their play-style to meet the requirements they desire, which is crucial when Elden Ring has as much content as it does and so many unique weapons that players may decide to try. One Elden Ring player has displayed the result of such inspiration with the idea to role-play as a certain Marvel character....

Elden Ring gamers must have at least two Great Runes if they want to venture into Leyndell. Demigod bosses like Radahn drop Great Runes when defeated, and players can use them to gain access to the city. When inside, Leyndell presents numerous challenges to Elden Ring players, with enemies like Oracle Envoys, Duelists, and Leyndell Knights. All are dangerous in their own right, but Leyndell Knights are arguably the deadliest due to their defensive but relentless fighting style....

One of the most prominent of these memes and interactions in Elden Ring has definitely been Klein Tsuboi, who is better known under his in-game alias of “Let Me Solo Her.” The Malenia-destroying expert has helped innumerable Elden Ring players defeat the infamously hard boss encounter, and his efforts have now been recognized by the game’s publisher, Bandai Namco. When Elden Ring launches, players will get to choose from 10 classes. Five of these classes were available in the Elden Ring closed network tests, whereas the other five have remained a mystery, until now. With the reveal of the Confessor and Samurai classes in Elden Ring, the only class that has not been shown off is the Wretch class. Originally announced at E3 2019, Elden Ring was shrouded in mystery for some time, before being re-unveiled in 2021. The game, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with world building elements written by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, follows the adventures of the Tarnished, exiled beings brought back to life to search for the Great Runes, shattered pieces of an ancient relic known as the Elden Ring, which holds power over the Lands Between....

The answer, quite simply, is in the Elder Scrolls franchise, which also just so happens to be where the joke is featured most prominently. In Elder Scrolls: Arena, players would be asked a series of questions that helped determine there starting class. For all of Elden Ring’s serious environments and brutal boss fights, the game does lend itself well to an unexpected level of comedy. A lot of this comedy is found in Elden Ring’s characters and their designs, as most characters in the game will be loyal to some group or guild. These groups are so unique and specific that they will often have some bizarre visual quirk to their design, such as the Turtle Pope....

Malenia, Blade of Miquella, may have achieved this, however, as she is easily the hardest boss in Elden Ring. This is thanks to her series of powerful attacks along with the fact that she will regenerate some of her health for every attack she lands on the player. This means that even if the player survives getting caught by a flurry of Malenia’s attacks, all of their progress in the fight may have been stripped away....

In March 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released alongside the Nintendo Switch and proceeded to be the most talked about game for a few months. Rather than speculating on who might sit on the Iron Throne, players were discussing that last Shrine they found, the last Tower they climbed, or an absurd encounter they had with a pack of Bokoblins. Although a Breath of the Wild sequel is currently set to drop this year, Elden Ring is up first and looks as though it might achieve the same effect....

Much of the game’s success can be attributed to its new take on Souls games: its open world nature makes it a much more accessible title than previous FromSoftware games. Encounters like Elden Ring’s sleeping dragon reward players heavily for exploration, allowing them to become incredibly powerful before facing the game’s main bosses. While some areas prohibit multiplayer gameplay, it’s relatively simple to play Elden Ring with or against others. Players can leave a summon sign and help the host defeat the boss, or they can use a Bloody Finger that will transport them to another’s world with the goal of killing the host. Navigating the game’s world is hard, but battling an invader simultaneously makes it even more difficult. However, Elden Ring players are finding clever ways to trick their invaders....

In all fairness, accessibility has never been the mantra of the Dark Souls experience. Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and to an extent Elden Ring, are all based on the concept of intentional vagueness and persistent design. Whether it’s gameplay mechanics, or even more so with lore, FromSoftware very rarely leaves no stone unturned. However, part of that has led to FromSoftware games remaining stalwart in a lot of the series’ design....

Apparently, not every gamer is satisfied with Elden Ring. Unfortunately, Elden Ring doesn’t natively support ultra-wide resolutions, angering several gamers who want to enjoy the game on wide monitors. Further, players are also complaining about Elden Ring framerate issues that might get fixed easily by making some technical adjustments, such as a trick to enable ultra-wide resolutions. The Two Fingers are located on most of the Divine Towers, plus there are Two Fingers for each of the Empyreans, individuals like Ranni that are candidates to be risen to become a god. Except Ranni’s Two Fingers are strange, large, and shaped oddly....
