The Elder Scrolls: BladesBest Race
Certainly, players that are attempting to determine what race to select before they begin unraveling The Elder Scrolls: Blades’ secrets should consider what type of character they wish to play. For example, those that are interested in playing as a hybrid spellcaster may be best served by choosing Dark Elf. That said, here are two of the most powerful races that the game has to offer:
Imperial
Bonuses to weapon damage are desirable in The Elder Scrolls: Blades, and the weapons that the Imperial deals additional damage with, Longswords, War Axes, and Maces, are of particular interest. This is due to the fact that these weapon types are easily acquired near the beginning of the game, which means that players will quickly gain access to the Imperial’s bonus. This is in contrast to the Nord’s preferred weapons, which are not immediately available.
Furthermore, it is currently somewhat difficult to regain health in The Elder Scrolls: Blades’ early access. As such, the Imperial’s increased healing from effects will certainly prove beneficial as players are consuming potions. To note, Health Regeneration, a stat that Argonian’s receive a bonus to, is only active during combat, which means that the Imperial’s healing stat is likely to have a greater positive impact overall.
Breton
As with the Imperial, the Breton receives bonus damage with the desirable Longswords, War Axes, and Maces. However, instead of improved healing, Breton gets increased spell resistance. While the application of spell resistance may be be more limited than receiving additional health restoration, it is certain to pay dividends, especially as players reach the later stages of the mobile Elder Scrolls: Blades.
Fortunately, Bethesda’s new title also offers an opportunity for players to change their race by giving Theordor Gorlash 50 Gems. Thus, they need not be overly concerned about their initial choice. That said, fans that select Imperial or Breton are unlikely to feel too much remorse about their selection as they work to get copper in The Elder Scrolls: Blades and progress through the game.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades is out now in early access for iOS and Android mobile devices.
