Elden Ring features several bosses for players to take on, and it gives users different types of weapons and tools to finish the job. It has an abundance of weapons, armor sets, and Spirit Ashes that summon NPCs, and every tactic seems viable to a certain extent. A new survey reveals some of the most popular weapons, bosses, classes, and many other interest stats as voted by a section of the Elden Ring fanbase.

Japanese video game magazine Famitsu conducted a survey on Elden Ring between April 9 and 13. It was answered by 1700 people, who were asked about their playthrough and voted on their favorite parts of Elden Ring. The results are probably not surprising to anyone who has played the game. Katanas won against all other Elden Ring weapons, with Bloodhound Step and Transient Moonlight being the most popular skills. Comet Azur, the sorcery that can defeat bosses in one hit when using specific items, was undoubtedly the most popular spell in the game.

Unsurprisingly, many fans voted for Mimic Tear Ashes as one of their favorite summons. It ranked at the top of this list, followed by Black Knife Tiche. Using Mimic Tear Ashes summons a copy of the player, and at launch, it was able to defeat some bosses on its own. While Mimic Tear Ashes was nerfed in Patch 1.03, it’s still incredibly effective and will likely remain a popular choice.

The survey asked readers to choose up to five bosses that left the biggest impression on them. Starscourge Radahn and Malenia came out on top, with just 29 points separating them. A similar question was asked about the regions and NPCs of Elden Ring, with Caelid and Ranni being the most popular choices in these categories.

The survey reveals other interesting details about the players’ experiences. When asked about what they liked about Elden Ring, most voted for story and the world, followed by the open areas and the emphasis on exploration. Vagabond was the most popular starting class in Elden Ring among the people surveyed, and they also voted for Vigor as the most important stat. It’ll be interesting to see if these rankings change in the coming months, but some are likely to dominate their category for the foreseeable future.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
