Gamers interested in making Elden Ring easier or more challenging can do so with the help of mods, while another add-on gives players the highly requested photo mode. One useful mod is known as Seamless Co-op and focuses on improving the multiplayer aspect of Elden Ring, allowing fans to play together without the need to use summon signs. Additionally, it’s currently not possible to summon Torrent in multiplayer, but the Seamless Co-op mod enables gamers to do so and explore the world together. Another noteworthy mod lets players completely randomize several aspects of the game.

Fans can download the Elden Ring Item and Enemy Randomizer mod from Nexus Mods. As per the description, the Elden Ring Item and Enemy Randomizer “randomizes bosses, enemies, and items, including key items and shops.” Essentially, all items, boss locations, enemy drops, and starting loadouts are randomized, allowing players to experience Elden Ring in a completely different way. Such randomizers also exist for the Dark Souls games, and many FromSoftware fans will likely be pleased to see one for Elden Ring. After downloading this mod, users will likely have a unique gameplay experience every time they start the game.
Mod creator Matt Gruen shared a video showcasing its benefits on Twitter, which shows the player entering the game’s opening region of Limgrave and activating the first Site of Grace. Usually, gamers will encounter the infamous Tree Sentinel boss in the area, but this mod replaces him with Malenia, one of the hardest endgame bosses in Elden Ring.
A one on one fight against Elden Ring’s Malenia is tough, and the player in the video comes across multiple iterations of this boss. They surprisingly manage to survive and reach the next Site of Grace inside the Church of Elleh. However, as soon as they exit the area, they are greeted by four Malenias, with two of them attacking in unison. The Twitter post mentions that the mod is feature complete for its first release but still requires more fixes. The video does a great job of showcasing its features, and Matt states that players can also customize it to create different kinds of Elden Ring runs.
Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
