Elden Ring Player Defeats Godfrey While Dressed As Soldier Of Godrick

While Godfrey is a significant challenge for any Elden Ring player, one fan has taken it upon themselves to ramp up the difficulty of the fight by dressing up as the Soldier of Godrick miniboss. Soldier of Godrick has become a meme in the Elden Ring community, with many hyping up the boss’ nonexistent difficulty. However, one Elden Ring player, known as Elmis66 on Reddit, has sought to prove that the Soldier of Godrick should be feared by defeating every one of the game’s bosses while wearing the weak foe’s gear.

Elmis66’s latest challenge is Godfrey, First Elden Lord. While Godfrey can be fought twice in Elden Ring, his appearance in the Ashen Capital is where he is undoubtedly stronger, with more devastating attacks and another phase that takes place after he drops to about half HP. Still, Elmis66 makes the boss fight look relatively easy, as they expertley dodge almost all of Godfrey’s attacks, taking small chunks of the boss’s HP away any time they can with the fairly weak Soldier of Godrick sword.

This fight with Godfrey marks part 48 of Elmis66’s run as the Soldier of Godrick. From the user’s other posts, it appears that this is a challenge run where Elmis66 must wear the armor and use the equipment of Elden Ring’s tutorial miniboss. Elmis66 isn’t the only person to defeat Elden Ring’s difficult bosses as the famed Soldier of Godrick. Previously, another fan of the game fought Malenia as the Soldier of Godrick, defeating her with just a sliver of health left.

Apart from wearing the gear of the weak miniboss, there are plenty of other challenge runs players can take on in Elden Ring. Having defeated the game, many place extra challenges on themselves to ramp up the difficulty of the fights they already know and have mastered. In one of the most popular Elden Ring challenges, players beat the game as a level one Wretch with nothing but the starting club.
