Malenia is considered by many to be the most brutal fight in Elden Ring, and quite possibly in all games released by FromSoftware. All of her attacks heal her, even if the player blocks them, and she can also unleash a flurry of hits that are incredibly difficult to avoid. It’s a two-phase boss fight that takes place at the end of a late-game optional area called Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Players do have the option of using Spirit Ashes in this fight, but an Elden Ring modder takes it to the next step by summoning the final boss of the game.

The modder, known as Garden of Eyes, defeats Malenia in under 30 seconds by summoning three Elden Beasts. The player does not hit her even once and just stands there as the Elden Beasts continuously damage her with powerful moves until she perishes. Malenia’s post-battle speech hilariously takes up almost as long as it took Garden of Eyes to defeat her. For those not in the know, Elden Beast is the final boss of Elden Ring but there is no option to summon it in other fights, so this footage is only possible with the help of mods.

Garden of Eyes is famous for making videos that feature bosses fighting against each other. One such video shows Malenia fighting Radahn, with Malenia coming out on top in a best-of-three battle. Radahn is also no match for Malenia’s second form, as he is defeated in under 30 seconds in the bonus fight. Garden of Eyes has uploaded similar videos, featuring Bloodborne bosses fighting each other, on their YouTube channel.

Similar to the mod that makes Sekiro less challenging, Elden Ring players can make the game easier or even harder for themselves with the help of mods. One mod also adds a photo mode to the game, allowing players to take screenshots of its beautiful vistas. The Elden Ring modding community has massive potential, and fans should expect to see more interesting mods to release in the coming months.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
