Elden Ring magic users have to equip the right gear if they want their spells to be effective, but one of the most powerful wands in fiction doesn’t actually exist in the game. In the Harry Potter universe, the Elder Wand is the most powerful wand ever created, said to have been crafted by Death itself. Now Elden Ring players on PC can wield the Elder Wand for themselves, thanks to a newly released mod.

Mod maker externethd has released a mod for Elden Ring that adds the Elder Wand from Harry Potter to the game. After downloading and applying the mod, Elden Ring players will need to acquire a Carian Glintstone Staff before they can use it, as the mod replaces the Carian Glintstone Staff with the Elder Wand.

Luckily, the Carian Glintstone Staff is not hard to come by, and Elden Ring players can get their hands on it fairly early on in the game. The Carian Glintstone Staff in Elden Ring can be found at the Carian Study Hall, itself located in Liurnia of the Lakes. Liurnia of the Lakes is the second major mandatory region that most players visit in Elden Ring, and it can be accessed within the first hour if one knows how to skip Stormveil Castle.

Regardless of how one gets to the Carian Study Hall in Liurnia of the Lakes, upon arrival, they can find a dead body with the Carian Glintstone Staff on it. Once the staff has been equipped and players have the Elder Wand mod downloaded, they will be able to wield it for themselves.

Besides this Harry Potter mod, modders have made all kinds of other creations for Elden Ring that cross it over with other major franchises. For example, there is a One Piece Elden Ring mod that adds Zoro to the game, and other mods that add Star Wars characters like Darth Vader and Darth Maul to the mix. Moving forward, fans can expect modders to continue making content like this for Elden Ring, and it will be interesting to see what else they come up with.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
